So, my sister in law is a hunter. She subscribes to the ‘honor the beast’s body and life’ school of thought, and doesn’t waste much more than a few ounces of entrails when dealing with her kills. Intestine for sausage skins, sinew for stitches of whatever projects she uses the hide for (moccasins, gloves, chaps ect.). And bones for...stuff. She made me a knife out of an old rasp for the blade, and the handle was part of one of the leg bones. Then she made this for the other half:
